Bill Robertson Toyota has just secured a major sponsorship deal with a Gladstone AFL Club and is looking forward to helping drive the Club forward during the 2019 season. Formerly known as the Gladstone Mudcrabs, the Club will now be known as the Bill Robertson Toyota Gladstone Suns.
Bill Robertson Toyota Dealer Principal, James Robertson said, “We admire the Suns long-term involvement in our community and the strong focus they have with their junior and senior men’s and women’s teams.”
“Their commitment to our community, their school programs and their goals as a Club all align with our ‘We Love Locals’ motto. The Club and Bill Robertson Toyota were both established in 1972 so we’ve both been working for Gladstone for a long time. Toyota Australia are major sponsors for the AFL nationally and are big drivers of fundraising for local AFL Clubs across Australia with their “Good for Footy” program. Mr Robertson said, “We’ve helped out with “Good for Footy” before but we thought it was time for our dealership to get onboard at the next level.”
Bill Robertson Toyota Gladstone Suns President, Joe Walsh said, “The Gladstone Suns AFC, are excited about the opportunities the Bill Robertson Toyota partnership provides.”
“It has been a few years since the club has had a major sponsor and having Bill Robertson Toyota come on board with us after recently rebranding to the Gladstone Suns means things are looking very exciting for the Club’s 2019 season”.
The Gladstone Suns Australian Football Club will be holding a sign-on day on Sunday February 3, 11am -3pm at their oval at Clinton Park, corner Dawson Highway and Aerodrome Road. New and existing junior and senior, men’s and women’s players are encouraged to come along and sign up for the 2019 season. The Bill Robertson Toyota team will be on hand with some fun games and free giveaways to those who sign up on the day.
